About Us

20 years in Arkansas search. It shows.

We are not a national agency that bolted "Arkansas" onto a landing page. We were founded here, we are headquartered here, and every strategy we build is informed by two decades of operating in this specific market.

Marcus Webb

Founder & Chief Strategy Officer

Marcus Webb founded Arkansas SEO Company in 2004 after spending five years in web development for telecommunications companies in Little Rock, where he watched established Arkansas businesses lose customers to out-of-state competitors simply because they did not show up in search results.

A University of Arkansas graduate with a background in computer science and business, Marcus built the company around a single conviction: Arkansas businesses deserved search expertise that actually understood the state's markets, industries, and commercial dynamics, not national agency templates repurposed with an Arkansas city name swapped in.

Over 20 years, that conviction has translated into 15,000+ projects across every region of Arkansas, from Walmart vendor optimization in Bentonville to local SEO for healthcare practices across the Delta. Marcus personally oversees strategy on every client engagement and has trained a team of Arkansas-based SEO professionals who share his commitment to market-specific expertise.

Why we exist

Arkansas is a state of contradictions in search. Northwest Arkansas is one of America's fastest-growing corridors, a region where Fortune 500 headquarters compete for the same keywords as locally-owned restaurants. Central Arkansas has the state capital, a major healthcare ecosystem, and a professional services economy that looks nothing like the rest of the state. The Delta, the River Valley, Jonesboro, and Pine Bluff each have search landscapes shaped by entirely different industries and demographics.

We started this company because national SEO agencies don't understand these dynamics. They run the same playbook in Bentonville that they run in Birmingham. They don't know that "NWA" is a geographic search modifier. They don't know that Tyson, Walmart, and J.B. Hunt generate a vendor-ecosystem search pattern unique to this region. They don't know that a healthcare practice in Little Rock competes against UAMS's domain authority in ways that practices in other mid-size cities simply don't.

We know because we've done the work. 15,000+ projects. Two decades of Arkansas-specific search data. Relationships with the editors, publishers, and directory owners who shape Arkansas's link graph. A team that lives here, pays taxes here, and understands the culture that shapes how Arkansans search, evaluate, and choose businesses online.

"Nobody down here was doing any of this. We figured if we were the first ones to show up on Google properly, we would win. And that is exactly what happened."

How we operate

Data, not opinions

Every recommendation we make is grounded in actual search data, crawl analysis, rank tracking, conversion metrics, and competitive intelligence. We show our work.

Arkansas-specific strategy

We don't repurpose national playbooks. We build strategies informed by 20 years of Arkansas search behavior data, regional competitive dynamics, and local link opportunities.

Long-term compounding

SEO is a long game. We invest in strategies that compound: clean technical foundations, authoritative content, durable link equity. Not short-term tactics that create long-term problems.
